Geoff and I arrived in Bali 5 days ago (although we couldn't see much on arrival as it was already dark). It is nothing short of paradise. We're staying on the Bukit in Suzie's Warung and it is right near the path down to Bingin. The views are spectacular.
We hired a car yesterday & drove to Ulu Watu. We had a good look at the surf from different angles and also went to the temple. We saw lots of monkeys & one that stole a lady's sunglasses! Naughty thing!
We booked into a Kechuk show at the temple which was really amazing...Its a Balinese ritual with song & dance which has men singing rhythms & assisting playing out a story. Really beautiful.
Geoff had a lovely surf this morning (will be repeated tomorrow I'm sure).
Food has generally been really nice > lots of banana pancake breakfast opportunities! They do have some really strange vegetables though!
We have come out to Kuta for the afternoon..serious amount of people!
Will write more when there is more time to get into the details...
